We had another system pop up here last night. We were at the ball fields at the town south of home and everyone's phone alerts went ape shit. We had enough time to get to the cars and that was about it. flipped bleachers etc but no noted tornado. Just lots of winds and rain. What sucks, we were batting the best we had all season

It basically revolves around the retirees from Iowa coming down to Lake Thunderhead and thinking they are big shit. They all have a chip on their shoulder and try to act like they are god..and most can not back a trailer or load a boat for shit...and look like they just walked from the tanning bed to Tommy Bahama to go shopping..... A few years back when we had our Baja (with (4) 10" subs, 3 amps, and a plethora of mids and highs), one of them told me that we were the sole reason that he and his wife were selling their house on that lake and moving elsewhere...bc of the "goddamn loud stereo and lack of respect for fishermen". I told him to take his old skank wife and use her panties for bait and get the eff off our lake. That one generated a letter from the lake......

Well the sub pump tried last night but the water was strong. I must have fallen asleep on the couch some where in the 2am range and woke about 4:30 am to quiet. Ahh shit generator must have run out of gas. Look in the basement, yup 10in of water.

When my wife was looking at houses, one of the things was no basement. In 2008 the water pressure behind the basement walls was so strong that is blew the wall out. House had to be torn down and they had manufactured home put on a crawl space (about 4' deep).
EDIT: Actually, sewage backed up to about 3' deep in the basement. In the backyard of her parents place is buried the remains of the stuff that was in the basement (including a cradle that her grandpa built).

Not having a basement is dumb.
I've lived in houses on concrete slabs in coastal Carolina for 12 years. Having a basement when I move back north is a requirement.
