Too much going on at home. Ginger is really sick and I have been trying to get her better. I am not sure if she is gonna make it.
Not good Lar.

Thoughts and prayers your way.

Whadya mean? Anybody who wants a decent paying job leaves as soon as they can. Even if that means giving up having fresh pasties.

<insert expletive here> Looks like I get to make the run again. Found out Sunday night while enjoying a homebrew @ lesslimited's that a good friend of mine lost his Dad earlier that evening. Funeral is Thursday morning near Flint.

That sucks Jeff.

Should be just in time for this snow to follow you.

It both does, and doesn't suck. His Dad had a stroke a couple of years back, and never really came to terms with it. He pretty much gave up several weeks back. His choice, and it's the right one. It may not be the choice I'd make, but for him, it's the right choice.

The whole reason I was over in MI for the weekend is the complete antithesis of him. Kay was my parents' maid of honor 59 years ago, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer three and a half years ago (she's beaten the docs by two and a half years,) fractured her pelvis a few weeks back, and *STILL* joined the Greek dancers on the floor Saturday night. She's the poster child for a positive mental outlook.

Brrrr.

I blocked off my entire raidator with cardboard. It's not getting warm on my little jaunts across town. I guess that CSF is doing what it's supposed to do. We'll sww what happens.

I hear ya on the cold suckage....my technicain decided not to show up to work today and he had a survey scheduled for this afternoon...so, guess who gets to go do it..ME!! Man, I am the typical fat desk jockey now, I am not too excited about getting outide in this weather unless it involves wheeling!!! Cold is one thing, windy and cold is another.:thumbdn:

My dad called me today and said they got 2" of snow in Indy and schools are closing left and right  Apparrently they forgot what a little snow is like.

Too bad we didn't get any here; it's just cold and windy.

snow is fun, ice on the other hand sucks a$$.

I guess we have all winter to get used to it huh? To hell with that, I would rather bitch about it than get used to it! Anotehr way to look at it is preperation and conditioning for Winterfest!!

in MA where im from we got one school day off and we had over 10" or snow over night...they dont mess around out there. i drove to school today and there was more sand on the roads then the beach...lol all it did was rain a little...lol

It is not cold in Illinois.

It was cold...and still is....in Fargo today. On a roof downtown, installing antennas, -8F

good thing there was no wind.

The hotel room is nice, but they are running the back-up generator outside my window all night to keep it warm.

AND I get to go in at 2AM, I am sure it will be nice and warm then.

Thanks for the prayers. They may have worked. She ate some dog food today for the first time in weeks. She looks like a walking skeleton of a dog. 2nd round of antibiotics might have done the trick.

I just got one, three hours in my driveway and one tank of gas later I gave up.
The SOB snow plow man left a giant two foot tall mountain range in the driveway. He plowed the whole alley to my side of the street. There are no drives on the other side of the alley. He will be getting a call tomorrow!

just got back from a week in Orlando
got a bit of a sunburn sitting outside smokin stogies. :D

Lar-I finally am reading about Ginger. My prayers as well. Erika (our dog) is my baby. I would do just about anything for her. Please keep me updated.
