I went to dentist three yrs ago after missing about 8 yrs. because of a broken crown. I had 6 cavities and bad gums. I now use mouthwash along w brushing (always brushed b4) and go to dentist every 6 months.

Maintenance makes the check ups much better. Sitting in that chair for hours isn't worth it

This. My tooth implant would have been $5k had i not had insurance. Cost me roughly $1500 after insurance and that money was taken out of my HSA account so nothing out of pocket. My dental is good, medical is ok.

I had no dental insurance right out of college and I needed alot of dental work done. I went in and got sedated and they did three root canals with backfill in one sitting. Ended up costing like 3k and I had to put it on a carecredit account. We got dental insurance after I got married. I have since done 2 of the three crowns at $500 out of pocket. Had 4 fillings done at around 250 out of pocket. I go in for my final crown on the first of next month.
Been going for cleanings every 6 month, I brush them twice a day and floss once.
