Well every time we have had a car seat in the back we have to have the passenger front seat slid forward just to get it to fit. Then that makes the front seat passenger sitting close to the dash. I know it can be done but I would like to get a grand just to have a little extra room on the inside.

I just got done doing it for 9 months. You do have to have the seat up a little bit but it's not to bad. Not good enough reason to spend thousands of dollars on a different used problem

I would be curious how muc more room there is from the front to back seat. I guarantee you when you get one of the bigger front and rearward facing seats (after they get out of a click in carry around type), that you will still move the front seat forward.

Well right now I guess im still trying to way all my options on what I want really. Part of me wants an xj again and part of me wants to go back to a grand. Decisions decisions
 
im starting to doubt the earths ability to get to 70 by march 7-8th :(
 
I physically could not fit in the xj's pass seat with the car seat behind it.

however, i found that with the car seat in the middle you can have both seat all the way back and even snugged up the car seat making it a little more firm fit.


i agree rew, at this rate we will be lucky to see 20s at wf.

It also depends on what I can get it traded for. Hopefully someone really likes the car and wants it
 
i would try to see if the car seat fits in my xj...but it doesn't have a backseat! when we were still looking at xj's it was with the understanding that melissa would be driving it all the time. it does fit pretty nicely in the wj. i'm not sure what car we will be getting for melissa in the months to come. we've got some time to figure it out though
 
A friend has three car seats in the back seat of his XJ.

Back on the van front, my mom called this morning and said my XJ wouldn't start. I was busy and finally got over there. I got the keys to the van and the XJ. First up was the van and it started up and stayed running. Then went to the XJ, I turned the key and no sound and then it sprung to life. Wonder if my battery is not liking the really cold weather (it is almost 3 years old now).
