Dude, you *SERIOUSLY* need to talk to da wife. Having done Fall Fling 2001 through 2004, it is the perfect time of year, and the right crowd of people to run Moab with.

I'd be slightly more like to remove my spleen with a rusty garden spade than go to Moab during EJS. Too many people. Actually, way too many idiots from what I've read over the years.

Ive been to ejs Not in a jeep, and it totally sucked. waiting hours at a time to try an obstical. And being ridaculed about being in a toyota.
Thats ok tho , when I did potato salad first try and hardly spun a tire the silance was defaning.......Jay.....

I am *NOT a happy camper.

Had some major power issues at the office on Thursday (lost one leg of incoming power 6 times between 4:00 and 11:00 AM.) And there's STILL more fallout. Lost 3 A/C chillers at 10:00 PM last night, the Unix corner of the data center hit 95+ degrees. I headed for the office at 10:30 last night until 4:00 AM, and headed back here at 8:00 AM when the A/C parts arrived.

Damn good thing I got beer in me last night, and coffee in me this morning, or I'd be thoroughly miserable to deal with (as opposed to just miserable to deal with.)

What kind of nature is she looking for that you can see in the spring that wont be in Moab in Oct? I think she should investigate that a little more before she makes that decision.

While we do have a disaster hotsite, that's in Atlanta. This is all happening at the HQ outside of St. Paul, MN.

The call to DR did not take place because local repairs happened much faster than a DR activation. A full DR activation takes around 3 days.

In the spring time it is like a lush tropical forest, but by mid August there is nothing left but sand and rocks and a few scrub bushes.

And as far as breaking shit, only the extreme trails and a few obstacles(often optional) require any craziness. For the most part, the traction is so good, you can just crawl over everything.

I believe it was in 2000 when we towed our camper to the west coast, and on the way home did most of the Rubicon, and several fun trails in Moab including Poison Spider Mesa and Elephant Hill. 31s, 4.10s with a freshly rebuilt Track-Lock in the D35.
