For those of you who don't look at the other website....

Sean is back in the hospital, in Madison. Had some complications with bleeding and trying to pass blood clots in his urine.

I will post more later today after I talk to the doctors.
Thats not good. Tell him we're thinking about him.

Sean is feeling better. He lost a lot of blood. They are giving him 2 units today and if the bleeding has stopped than we can go home tomorrow.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Just got off the phone with Sean.
He sounds MUCH better than the other day. He is still in the hospital, there was some internal bleeding from the surgery, it seems to have stopped now, he took 3 units of blood and is feeling much better. He thanks all of you for your thoughts and prayers.
keep em coming guys.
Rev

Well Sean, hope this cheers you up. It is the only liver joke I know.

BOB

The Taco Bell Chihuahua, a Doberman and a Bulldog are in a doggie bar having a drink when a good-looking female Collie comes up to them and says, "Whoever can say liver and cheese in a sentence can have me."

So the Doberman says, "I love liver and cheese." The Collie says, "That's not good enough."

The Bulldog says, "I hate liver and cheese." She says, "That's not creative."

Finally, with his Mexican accent, the Chihuahua says, "Liver alone......cheese mine."

Update:
Sean is still in the hospital, things are getting better, but he is fairly uncomfortable, I think he is tired of sitting around. He was headed to a CAT scan tonight to see how things are going. He has a nice scar around his side....should make for good campfire stories.
He wanted me to thank everyone again for thinking of him. If all goes well, he may be coming home on Friday.

Laura-I was reminded today that I should be checking the boards, when I asked for the Sean update (from Rev). I hope tonite is a better night for you guys. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Sue

Here's one I think Sean would apperciate:

A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen maskover his mouth and nose, still heavily sedated from a difficult four hour, surgical procedure. A young, student nurse appears to give him a partial sponge bath. "Nurse", he mumbles, from behind the mask. "Are my testicles black?" Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir, I'm only Here to wash your upper body and feet." He struggles to ask
again, "Nurse, are my testicles black?" Concerned that he may elevate his vitals from worry about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and sheepishly pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his testicles in the other, lifting and moving them around. Then, she takes a close look and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir!!" The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. That was wonderful, but, listen very, very closely...

up date...

We are STILL at UW Madison. The CT scan showed some fluid near his kidney that they operated on. They think it may be an infection or more bleeding. They are doing a "procedure" this morning to drain some of it off to see what it is.

If it is an infection they will put in a drain tube and we will be here a few more days.

If it is bleeding they really did not say what they were going to do.

I just know I am soooo tired of being in the hospital. I want to go home!

Please keep the thoughts and most importantly the prayers going!.

Thanks!!

I had a similar experience when my appendix bit the dust. They drained a pint from an abcess, then I had to let it drain for a few days. Not fun.

I'm keeping Sean in my prayers.

It was blood that they drained from the area. The Dr. seems confident that the bleeding has stopped on its own. Not sure what the plan is from here. The Drs will be up again around 5ish.

the thoughts and prayers of the michiana guys are with you sean , and jeeplas . :wave1:
