Important

Weres the cheapest place to get a frame side track bar mount for a bushing style end, similar to Rustys. Or does anybody have one sitting around?

Iron rock....

Softball league supposed to have started last week Tuesday. Rain/hail delayed it one more week. Rain today might delay one more. I just wanna play da** it!!

Yea this rain is bringing the suck. I'm glad its sunny on the weekends though.

Gonna fix the cousin's Highlander tomorrow, says he can't go over 50 without the front end shaking all over. I took one look & 2 pass, lugnuts missing, the other 3 were hand tight. He said he had a friend work on it.. Note to all, stop letting friends work on your car, #2 Don't tell relatives you are a mechanic for a living.

I have an interview Monday for that teaching job... Spent 25 minutes on the phone with the principal last night. The school is maybe 3 years old, the shop, state of the art, the location is rural enough for me...

Just don't think they can afford me, but we'll see...

I hear ya man , there is a job I would like to inquire about, but it's a 90 min drive, round trip away. Driving a V-8 ZJ would suck a$$, so it would have to be a heck of a pay raise.

iron rock inside measurement is quite narrow if i remember correctly. less than 2", which i think Kman is running heims?

cheap enough to make kels... shit, buy the beer and metal and supply the welder and ill come do it for you.

Ah, he said for a bushing style end, that's why I mentioned Iron Rock.

I've got some play in the frame end of my track bar, JKS fab-yer-own OAB with a transverse Johnny Joint at the frame. I don't know if the mount is wallowed out yet, if the bolt has problems, or if the Johnny Joint itself has worn. Austin mentioned something a few weeks ago when he was building an axle end mount, that he used square tubing cut down with a band saw. If I have to work on the mount itself, I'll see if I can find some square tubing of the right size. That might also work for KMan.

If you need some tube, let me know I got a few bits around that will work...
I used it on the axle-side mount which is just a bushing, dunno if it will work on the J.J. side, what is the width of the J.J?

I'm pretty sure I have the bigger joint, IIRC, it's 2.5". JKS has redesigned their website, and I'm not finding where the trackbar parts are listed. Need to pull everything apart and take a look.

Then again, there's another thread here where someone (Boostwerks?) had cut up plate for a custom axle end mount, I'd just have to weld it together.

That'll work too... Just remember to throw that nasty roll of wire away before you do anything!!

so my sister inlaw's boyfriend came over yesterday to look at my honda. i guess he is some kind of civic fan like we are to XJ's..

compression in cyl 1 and 2 was only 15psi. he said it looks like it jumped timing. and from the sound of it probably bent a rod. great i get to send it to the yard.... the wife calls them up and they are coming to get it Monday. now here is the fun part, they are giving me 600 bucks for the turd! yeee frickin hawww.

payed $250 with plates and title change, drove it for bout 3 months.

Could just slap another JY motor in it and keep going but damn, sounds like you made out well either way.

sold my H2 rims and tires last night for $50 less than i was asking and took three days...i was pleased...they were the "racing" tires for the popcan and hadn't been used in three years...

officially looking for 33 MTs on rims for the LJ for off road tires.

mac 'keeping the ATs currently on it for street duty' gyvr

The t bar mount is for the wife's jeep. I got a bushing style adjustable bar from Brennan. I was thinking about building one. Time is of the essence at this point in my life.

I'm gonna check iron rock.

the rest of the car just isnt worth it. dents in all the panels, hood wont close, power steering leaks, rusty quarter's, both back doors wont open, seats are all tore up, you can see threw the trunk, tail light is busted, could use a set of tires. it has 280k on it when i got it it had so much trash in it you could only sit in the drivers seat. id say i made out pretty good.

still deciding if i should take the money and put it towards another beater...
