If you buy a Larson or a Bayliner I will Fck uo in the ass!

I LOVE my boat and wish I would have made the switch sooner...

I don't take my boat out and have to spend $1000.00 to put it back together.

Definitley stay away from those two. I have done plenty of work to the both, and nothing is easy to get to, bayliners especially have electrical problems. Overall, as an entry level boat they may be ok, but not something to buy and use for an extended period of time.

we are sold on either a Crownline or a Cobalt. We had a Baja before and it was fun, but we are wanting a nicer/classier unit now...I know, I know..me, classy?? LOL

I am going back and forth on if I want to buy an older boat I pay cash for or get a newer one and get into some payments.....still a lot of nice boats out there that are a few years older then I originally wanted, but under $10,000. I found a nice Cobalt in Austin, TX but I am not going down there for a few weeks and I am sure it will be sold by then.

Cobalt and Crownline make great boats. Look for a Crownline with a 7.4L MPI big block and a bravo 3 drive. plenty of power and reliable, the MPI system is bulletproof. I have never had to get one replaced or rebuilt ever.

long damn day...the girl who runs the sound board for the actual shows at this theatre had a little melt down at the end of the night. why the hell can't some people just do their jobs and not make it seem like the weight of the world is on their shoulders and that people are out to get them. if this show tanks, its on my ass and not hers. its been a long time since i've worked with a sound engineer who doesn't annoy the hell out of me. thats why rock and roll shows are a nice change of pace...im in charge of my world and i answer to myself. in the theatre world, i make things sound pretty but its in someone else's hands to carry out the operation of the show. its like building a really awesome capable xj, then letting a someone stupid drive it. they're always going to find something to blame when they get stuck, when ultimately its not the rig that failed...its the driver. ugh...well i have the 4th off so at least i only have to put up with bs for 4 more days. this is an easy show too...it also annoys the crap out of me when people make the easy shows hard. i don't ever want to coast though a show, but dammit if a show is easy we should be doing a great job and enjoying how easy it is...not creating drama to make the show more difficult.

aaaaand....rant off....goodnight all
FWIW, the sound guys for the Joan Jett and Heart show last Friday night had it all together. Crisp, clean, and able to hear everything.

In other news, I got the Jeep running last night. We cut the hole for the adapter ring to mount the factory fuel pump and cut the hole for the fuel fill. Plumbed it up with rubber line for fuel injection (the stainless line i bought didn't end up working because the fuel line on the frame was 1/4" line and the fuel pump side was 3/8" line. So some rubber line and clamps worked just fine. She started right up with no issues.

Tomorrow the brake lines should be finished up, the lockouts installed and hopefully a test drive will insue Wednesday.

Eh... new truck time:

Needs some things fixed on it but I'm reasonably happy. As happy as I ever am after I buy something. Can't believe how nice these things ride.

GM 8-lug wheels... are they all the same through the years? I need a spare wheel/tire ASAP.

Yeah they are the same, as long as its the the new body style, they have some weird pattern, yours should be 8-6.5 or the metric measurement of that size

Brad, if you can wing it until you get back from Harlan, I have a set of those rims in the shed from my Chevy. They are standard 8x6.5 on those.

Sweet looking truck man, I dig it!

I appreciate it but I think that is just asking for trouble for me to wait... found one that is fairly local, and before I do a 700 mile round trip I better be prepared. I've never lost a tire on the road but sure enough as soon as I don't have a spare it will ruin my day.

I dig the "professional grade" red as well. And what do you mean not for tractors, I thought you liked IH! You named your kid Case not John! :D

he was named Case due to the fact that is how much it took to get his momma drunk so we could make him :D.....actually he was named after a childhood friend. I am all about the green tractors and planters to get the season started, but rely on the red to get it combined come harvest. We actually are not too color specific b/c I am looking at a new Kinze planter and they are blue...for the bargin price of $128,000 :farmer:

Red, green, and blue... now you can make anything!

I interviewed last week for a service advisors job at an RV center about 15mins from my house. I was one of the 3 that they wanted a second look at. I really hope this pans out. It would be at least 2-3 times what I'm making now. That would make it to where I could afford to look at the Heep again. I get this job and my wallet and jeep might stop fighting.

On a side note I've decided to name the jeep after 5yrs of ownership to "The Gimp" since everytime it does make it to a trail I beat on it hard enough it should be wearing a ball gag and leather suit.

Wow, that is possibly the most vulgar statement without swear words I have ever seen on NAXJA.

Less than 48 hours and I head up north to Trucks Gone Wild. I can't wait to get up there and tear some shit up!!! :D It will be interesting to see how the stroker holds up and how long it takes to take out another front axleshaft. LOL
