Important

incorrect. I DD the beast every day, average about 300 miles a week, so good street manners are important. That's why I was looking at those Kumhos, supposedly a good MT, but decently mannered.
That was also the primary reason for getting two sets of tires, but I just don't know if I can afford that right now.

Are those Kumho's 4 ply? I'd guess they were being so light. I couldn't find that info anywere, I probably missed it. The more I think about it, I think I should go with a heavier tire. I like beefy. I didn't see a weight on the Coopers either. Again, I didn't look too awful hard.

I think the Kuhmos would be good a good choice for you Nate.

they're a load range c tire, 2 ply sidewall, not sure about the tread.
I'll just try and avoid sidewall mangling roots :)

Remote from...well...home, guess I am not remote then. Wife called me this AM, seems the sump pump decided sometime in the last day or so to stop working....2" of water in the basement...the just finished basement.

Sure am glad I got insurance, called them this morning, the crews have alrteady removed all the flooring and the bottom foot of drywall. I have dehumidifires and fans running down there now, sounds like a damn windtunnel.

The best news...the agent called....CLAIM APPROVED!

Rev, I love ya buddy, but I gotta say it - quality back-up pump system with alarm > insurance refinishing the bottom foot of your basement.

Are the doors OK?

I became well acquainted with sump pump maintenance over the years.
the last time I remodeled. I put 2x4 treated boards down around the perimeter walls and placed the drywall on top of the boards. that gives you your two inches of water before the drywall gets wet.

good luck

The pressure switch in the sump pump failed, that has been addressed with a new sump pump with a float switch. After all is done a secondary sump pump with a float switch and a alarm will be installed. Just like the Jeep, find a weak link, fix it, move on.

The doors appear to have pulled through, as did the casings.

Bob, the 2X4 thing was mentioned by the "dewatering team", my fault there....whoops.

Thanks guys.

And then that space is covered with base moulding right?

Just want to make sure I get this covered, for the future you know...

It's been raining like a bastard here too.... All week. :(

We're having the most pleasant weather since April or May. I've been working outside after work for almost 2 weeks.

anyone converted a closed cooling system to open?

is it worth it?

is the closed system really that bother some?

I had to buy a new "football" resivor for the MJ because the cap wasnt staying on, because the previous owner put the wrong cap on there and chingered the threads....

now Im wondering if i shouldnt have spent the $$$ on that...
