I've never surged but would love to try, yeah.I'm not from the flip trick gen, lien to tail Ds and bs no prob, Ds/ bs smiths are a blast Fav trick lately is fs 50/50 to tailslide, or Ollie nose slide reverts, I have a huge bag of tricks, seems I forget some then see someone do it and go oh yeah lol I grew up in the country so the roads sucked I lived on my two minis with a hip. Good times, stopped riding very in 01 cause of a bad fall that broke my elbow, but ill stay oninis till I can't walk lol
thats the beauty of a wave... water doesnt hurt.

though i have pearled and skipped across the water plenty. and ragdolled in heavy sessions. then there is the occasional getting slammed on the bar or getting worked on the inside shore break. but east coast is all sandy bottom, no where near as gnarley as reef. but ive been out in some of the heaviest conditions the east coast as scene. check that one off of the bucket list.

when i graduate school i WILL go to tavarua, and i WILL surf cloud break. probably one of the fastest lefts in the world. can get almost as heavy as teahupoo.

surfing, i always found FS more comfortable, but skating i seem to be able to stay higher on the wall backside, i dont get it. but im hoping that will all the flow ive been aquiring over the last 2 years, ill step on a board like i was never gone. reading the water is realistically the hardest part. the rest is natural athleticism. last time i went home, i spent a week camping in frisco and watched as it was blown out the entire week. on the drive home, i decided to stop randomly and walk over the dunes to check the water (knowing the winds were right) and scored super glassy waist high rights.

ever seen the really shitty movie "nights in rodanthe" or "rodanthe nights"? i forget exactly what its called... but thats right out front of Sturns, another great spot. been there many times.

Did you know...

They make a different spindle nut socket for the rear axle wheel bearings on the D80 in my F350...

mac 'my D60 and D44 won't work' gyvr

That's great man, in Ohio I haven't been around a whole bunch of waves other than vaca and that doesn't give ya much time to learn, wakeboarding on the other hand is a blast a mix between skating and snow boarding

So I haven't been at a computer for a few days. Our semi-annual family garage sale was this weekend. I made a decent chunk of change that is nearly gone already. Spent most of it on Harrison's birthday presents. Meganne and I got him some deluxe stuff from Toys R Us.

Good to know though that I didn't miss much. Just a bunch of babble. With the exception of that badass J10! I about creamed my shorts when I saw that.

Oh and Meganne and I have been spending a little time playing with our NES and SNES systems. I love being old school.

Old school? How about an Atari 2600 or an Intellivision? :D

My mom had an Atari when I was a baby/toddler. I remember seeing it but never playing with it. She wasn't as much of a nerd as a parent as I am. I remember the garage sale in which it was sold, too. If I knew then what I know now...

Considering the NES came out 2 years before I was born, I consider it old school. Especially since the first console I ever had was SNES.

Did you know the older 14b and dana 60 use the same spindle nuts. The 96 14b that I put new wheel seals on yesterday is just different enough that the older 14b socket won't work....hammer and screwdriver works though.

Ooooooof. Man, you know how to make someone feel OLD.

For the geeks in the crowd, an Atari 2600 console used a 6507 processor, same family as what was in an Apple ][. Major difference what that it only had a 4k address range.

Intellivision was the bomb back in the day I believe it was the first
It may have been the first console that had 3rd party cartridges or games available for it. Some other consoles with replaceable cartridges were available earlier, but didn't have cartridges available from other companies.

You don't need me to make you feel old. I think the rest of the MWC can do that for you as well. I think maybe Les is the only guy older than you.

Peanut gallery? Who is the oldest MWC member?

Of course, Rev doesn't count since he and dirt's dad went to school together.

I'm going to measure it tonight and hopefully find the right one tomorrow.

mac 'why can't they all be the same' gyvr

huh. I could have sworn it had a 6502 in it but you are right.

Trivia question - do you know why it ran at 1.19MHz? Hint: it's the same reason the IBM PC realtime clock tick was 18.2Hz up til some version of Windows and whatever version of Linux changed it to 100+ Hz.

iirc it had a 64k address range software-wise, limited to 8k hardware range by pin count. Half of that is dedicated to the cart and the other half is 2600 internal RAM and i/o.

your first act should be installing the largest transmission cooler you can get your hands on, and preferably, having the transmission flushed. That is, if you intend to tow with it.

Yes and have the bands adjusted in the tranmission. They like to get sloppy around that many miles and break the ear off the wedge. Not joking here either like the canuter valve saga

Is it Friday yet?
