Thanks for the input. Helps clarify things. Tough to think clearly when my kid and Fiancee' are in tears with a screaming dog in the house. I'm mentally getting tired.

$1200 IS WAY TOO MUCH FOR A HANDGUN/ I think you will find much better prices at a gun show. I have 3 differant dailly carry guns, that I take turns with. The most I have in any single one might be $650. On a side note, I have spent ALOT OF $ in holsters, I'm like a woman with 50 pairs of shoes. But you gotta keep trying till you find one that you can wear 10 hours a day and not know it's there.
Do you have a range where you can shoot them? Sometimes holding them and shooting them are two very different things.

The Vet will always disagree with you. They don't like putting animals down anymore than you like taking them in to have it done.
The dog before last I had put down was 13yr, but he was real sick. It went in 2-3 day cycles. Every time I took him to the vet he was awesome, then after a day or so, he would have trouble getting up, would throw up, and mess the floor. After nursing him back to health, the cycle would start again.
So I took him in one more time. He was spry as a chicken again. Sucked. The Vet had a real issue, and made it tougher on me, and that sucked too.
So, frankly, that turned me off to the guy, and I have never come back. It's hard enough to make a tough decision without making the pressure unmanageable.
Last dog I had put down I went to a different Vet. There was no argument, and no pressure, just what needed to be done at the time.
Good Luck with whatever decision you come to. It's a personal one, and only you can make it.
Well, most on here dont't know yet, but four weeks ago yesterday I quit drinking. I am very suprised and also proud of myself for kicking alchohol to the curb. I don't plan on quitting forever, just at this time I think it was the best choice for me to make. I didn't consider myself a "drunk" but I was on an average of drinking 2-4 cases of beer a week and more on the weekends.
I am also praying that by stopping the amount of alchohol intake will help my psoriasis as during the summer months it comes back BIG TIME. Funny
thing is, the only thing I really miss is the taste of beer. So a couple of NA's once in awhile helps with the cravings. I might have a beer or two Memorial Weekend but NOTHING like I used to. I just don't feel the need to have hangovers anymore and would like some more money in my wallet.![]()

Yeah, which part? The baby? Unemployment? Obviously I wouldn't have OBD vehicles, engineered parts (factory or otherwise) or the internets.I would just like to point out that nerds are responsible for your way of life now.
Huh?Thanks guys....looks like some breadboard time.
It does not need to be perfect....just close enough.

Truth! I was talking last night about how a guy bought his wife a Desert Eagle .50 and how there are a lot better ways to spend $1200 on a more practical weapon for one's wife. Like a sweet 1911... My next pistol will be a Kimber. At least that's the plan. It will be a 1911 for sure.$1200 doesn't even scratch the surface for a really high quality 1911.
Kimbers are a little overpriced for what you get (and I'm a Kimber owner) but if you think 1200 is too much, you should start looking at some of the custom gun manufacturers.
To each his own. If $650 works for you, great. But don't assume it works for other people too.
$1200 IS WAY TOO MUCH FOR A HANDGUN.
Brad has a picture of me doing a kegstand at a wedding I was in a couple of weeks ago... I'll keep the picture to myself!
So you've saved enough up to go RED then.
