Long story short they are supposed to be building a 4.7 V8 for my dad's WJ. We ordered it four weeks ago today. It was supposed to be built in five days. I was supposed to pick it up a couple weeks ago, then last week. Now he's told me he's going to ship it (on his dime cause he's f'd this whole thing up) every day this week. Last night he told me he was still doing finally assembly, which he told me was done last week. Couldn't tell me if it would ship tonight.

I'd just like someone to see our motor and what shape its really in. If it wasn't 3 hours away I'd just go do it myself. If your close I'll bring a 12 pack of your favorite to beer to winterfest for checking in for me. Its the motor for Rowland that's shipping to Fort Wayne (actually shipping to Garrett cause that's where a buddy works with a lift to get it off the semi).

Only paying $2100 plus core to have a long block motor built, but the weeks of broken promises and excuses are pissing me off. I was hoping to take the core back if I made redbird...now time isn't going to be on my side...so another extra trip...

<growf> I really don't care if you apologize in advance. I will reject any meeting scheduled over lunch.

I hear ya, several people know they better bring lunch if they want me to attend during my lunch hour, which runs from 11-1. It's blocked of on my calender for this reason.

that is two hours :D

I quit eating lunch at the office b/c it was constant interuptions. I dont bother people on their lunch breaks and I expect the same. I usually go out for lunch or just take lunch to our camper at the lake (10 minutes up the road) and chill out there and relax.

And for all those reasons, I avoid eating at my desk. I told a manager several weeks ago that there better be lunch provided for a noon meeting. Walked in, asked again, was told no, and I walked out. No repercussions on that one that I'm aware of.

It got so bad for a friend of mine at a previous job that she had to start blocking out time on her calendar, labeling the time as GSD. Get $hit Done.

At least you possibly get a lunch.

When we sit down at work, its in between runs. We can try to eat at a certain time...but we could be busy. I can't tell you how many times I've got my food, sat down, and been sent to a run and either took it in a bag to eat cold later, or threw it in the trash.

Interested to hear how your motor situation turns out. I heard of that place when they were doing mainly rotary stuff, then saw they were rebuilding Jeep motors (and building strokers as well). Figured I'd get a rebuild from there when my junk finally flies apart since they're kinda close.

Mac, I won't disagree with you on that point, your situation really blows.

If I don't push back on crap like this, it *WILL* get worse.

"What do you mean its not covered under warranty?"

"Ford wont cover you running into something"

If I don't get a tracking number by monday for a motor shipment, Big Hank is going to go check it out for me.

I hope they do good work, I think that they probably do, I just think that they are so busy they can't keep up with the customer promises and that will eventually get them...unless maybe they need to hire more help...

And to top it all off, I broke the gun on my welder last night...the local place could get the oem replacement for...$229.00...

I found it on the internet for $135.00, plus I got 10 tips for $4.
