has anyone ever uprooted there entire life and moved like 10 hrs from were they were at?

how does that work

when I first got married we moved 10 hours away to SW Kansas...that is the closest to the butthole of America if there ever was one! Flat, windy, no trees, no lakes...just corn and grain elevators....but we loved it! We were nowhere close to family or friends and it made us rely on each other and we slowly made friends that we still stay in touch with to this day. I loved what I was doing out there but hated who I was doing it for, my boss was a prick. I often wish we still lived out there away from all the crap around here (Rew, I believe you know what I am referencing). One thing about a "big" move is that it is only as "big" as you want it to be. If you want to do it, do it. No hyping it up or letting the kids be pissed about it, just do it and they are young enough they will go with the flow....now if it was your kids senior year in highschool and halfway through the winning football season, that is another subject. You and the hen are young, do it!! Where are ya wanting to move to? North Missouri?? :farmer:

You could just move 4 hours south so I can drive by the local ford dealership and flip you off on my way home from work! :D

I have some family in AR around little rock and bellavista so i was thinking AR or southern Missouri.

I have wanted to move down there since i was around 17-18 and getting out of HS, I stuck it out up here cause of the hen and i had a pretty good paying job for a 18 yr old. so the best time to do it was then cause of the no kids and house and everything that holds you down somewhere. now there is so much to make sure i have set before i can pull the trigger (job, house, schools, health insurance) i was talking with my uncle from little rock this weekend, that's what got me thinking again. i get kinda depressed with the 7 months of winter Chicago land has and that is approaching pretty quick.

everyone i ever talk to about a "big move" did it before the job and kids and life got in the way, so i don't know how to go about getting the ball rolling. up until a couple years ago i have been all talk about getting out of Chicago land but then the Hen said the words "i hate it up here, i wanna move" and its in the back of my head all the time.

Yeah, but they're cheap, and seem to be OK after you attack them with the grinder.

I also think that being able to setup the gears with an adjuster vs. shims would be worth a lot.

I don't want to put anymore chevy sh!t on my popcan...

I can tell yah as a kid who moved plenty due to my Dad being a Navy officer that it sucked more as I was getting older. At 13 is when it started sucking as it was getting tougher to adapt to a new school and surroundings. Other wise when I was younger I was excited to see new places. The younger they are the better it is for them.
True the 7 months of winter are long. Up here it's closer to 9. If you do not have a hobby that is part of the cold weather in your area then it can suck. I ice fish and enjoy plowing and snowmobiling so that helps. When I retire I'd stay north till about the 2nd week of January and then I'm going south as my body aches in the cold thanks to arthritis in the back and hip I broke when I was 20.

Yes, I think 4 times now.

You rent a moving truck, empty the old house into it, drive the truck to the new house and unload the truck into the new house.

Do lunchbox lockers in the front normally click at slow spores goin straight? Mines a lockright HP d30

its a lock rite...

mac 'they always click?' gyvr

Most spores are slow as they have no brain :)

All lunchbox lockers ratchet when they are not under power and acting as a differential (like when going around corners, or stopping on ice).

They do not ratchet if there is no difference in tire speeds or when under power.

If craigslist had advertising, I would pay for some banner ads that read "Hey seller! Do you know the difference between a Cherokee and a Grand Cherokee? Click here for details!" I wish Jeep would put the full name on the side of the vehicle or something so people know how to list it.

At any rate, I have been casually looking around for a 2-door XJ and not finding much of anything. Best I found was a 1980 SJ, certainly cool but a little big I think.
