Ron - I'm sorta surprised you bent a V8 ZJ tie rod. What size tires? I failed to bend mine and I slammed on it like it owed me money on 33" ATs, including a couple rocks that left marks on the tie rod itself.

GoSlowGetStuck bends them on 31's.......................but the jumping it doesn't help. He solved that problem though! :D

A TJ won the NAXJA rig of the month.

All the whining is definitely what did it. I voted for an XJ though. :dunno: Leave it to the caltards! :D

I think it a little funny myself. It only won because of the people who voted for it just to stir the pot.
X2.

I think everyone is taking ROTM WAY too seriously.

Indeed, had to call it quits early on Saturday since mine was about to let loose and I didn't want to be stuck on the trail with one-wheel steer. The bottom of the coil bucket is tore up too though so I'm thinking that's what was hitting the tie rod. Prior to being *excessively* stupid with it, the tie rod held up pretty well.

All the V8 ZJ guys say I gotta do the V10 WJ steering upgrade.

AH, I leave for camping on the pipeline today until Monday. In a few hours I am OUTAHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could of afforded to go to Michigan and hang out with some good people, but at least I can go camping.

Good thing you have a new platform to build on!

Thanks to wheeler I have a line on a motor in MI for Dad's WJ. 1k for 114k motor. No core so we can do what we want with the other...ie rebuild or whatever.

Its about an hour out of the way coming home from Dan's house on Friday.

As long as the guy that has it, can pull it by Friday early afternoon.

Small blocks fit good on HF furniture dollies. Might be worth the $20. Strap it down under the front bumper and it won't go anywhere.
