unloaded the XJ off the trailer from the trip a few weeks back...man that thing just keeps taking a lickin and keeps on tickin. Tranny sounds pissed at the world and a few noisey u-joints but she is still going under her own power. The motor is soooo worn out but I cant justify putting a motor in a POS that is somehow still running.

Both. 60k on the engine, from a '94 that I installed after I wiped the bearings off the original. The trans has 220k on it, but never gave me any issues.

Did a nice little mod to my rig this weekend. I removed the pass. rear shock. After running the numbers through a four link calc, this should give me no extra flex and a more bouncy rather than stiff ride. Though it compliments having no rear swaybar nicely.
That being said:
In other news, the interchange at Hwy 29 & 41 is now seriously fawked up. Temp lanes have been placed nowhere near where the real ones will go leading to storm drain inlets off grade in the middle of a lane. Nailing one of these at 65 mph accomplished the above mod. Of course this is no surprise as I had a finger in this road design three years ago.

I remember something about using like a Cj/TJ/?? Steering that is 4 bolt and has a better gearing or something? Does anyone know what model/year those are in??
As far as carnage: Pass Window regulator is gone and window is off track, pretty sure I have a u-joint out, sway bar is permanently disconnected till further notice, gotta figure out the TCM/ECM lack of communication issue, relocate and install larger Trans cooler, and get new steering system
Spent Friday, saturday, Sunday, and today after working completely redoing the roof on my house! Wow git was hot out! I'm to fat and lazy for construction work.
