^Drunk post

I have no clue how we could afford a brand new truck...but everyone has to dream right?

I did beat that level of angry birds a long time ago tho...

mac 'pretty good grammar and spelling for as hammered as I was' gyvr

lols.

I was pretty happy when Jennie agreed that we should just buy a NEW trailer and stop dealing with all the headaches that come with a borrowed one.

John Hancock?...pshhhhhh...you mean Herby Hancock.

Lots of people go to college for 7 years....
Yeah. They're called doctors....

Transmission cooler quick coupler came undone on the jeep wednesday when I was heading to Steves to help him on the jeep.
Puked all the fluid out. I got about 30 min down the road and it hickuped. Then at the stop light it reved and fell into gear. I thought I had toasted it at WF. Drove home, only to find the coupler had come undone. Leason learned. Im removing that thing when I do the trans swap.

Same here, at least once a season, if not more then that depending on the distance or trip involved. The new-to-me GN is getting new rubber and wheels this next week. I am even getting ready for the warmer temps to shoot a quick coat of paint on everything for its biannual paint job.

The big trailers get all sorts of love b/c DOT likes to check them over on occassion when we are pulled over :(

I do trailer mainteneance too, trailer just got all new bearings, races, and seals. And boy did it need it. Right after I bought it, it got 2 new E-range tires. The brake wiring was gone through and the safety bake switch was replaced.

bm 'it's probably worth more now then when i bought it' yohn

i do

mac 'better maintenance schedule than my jeeps' gyvr

Let me rephrase.

none of the hillbillies selling used trailers around here do maintenance. I'll be damned if I get a "deal" on a trailer and spend a fotune on new hubs/brakes/tires and have what a new one would have cost me.

There is also a very very very short list of people that I loan my trailer(s) out to as well...

Got burned too many times...

mac 'only one other person has borrowed the two place trailer' gyvr

I was told my sway bar links were bad, now I think they are really bad (at least the left one) because if I hit a good size pot hole (or crater around here) I get a nice clunk from that side. Of course wheeling on them probably didn't help either!

true that my friend.....I only loan my trailers to friends that have something of equal or greater value that I can borrow in return. I cant count how many times a trailer came back in worse shape then if left in.

Cheese "now that I lock the trailers, they dont disappear as often" Man

New trailers are nice.

GN's are nicer cuz no one wants to borrow it.

My father in law has a belief that if you buy a heavy GN w/ dual tandems...no one will want to borrow it...so far so good. My new-to-me GN is dual singles and it has been used more by friends in the past few weeks then I have used it....that is coming to a stop now that I locked the hitch.

my left link broke a while back. i just said screw it cuz there is so much rust i cant get it off.

I am getting disco's from 87manche......problem will be solved.

well, the jeep is almost back together after 3 days of thrashing. :repair:

what i got now is an 89 renix block, with a 94 HO head and a 96 intake. :farmer:

i made it all jive using some creative engineering, thank god i have the capacity of abstract thought.

the problem now is i have the serpentine setup that of a 97 and up. it seems that 89-ish renix blocks had an extra tab on the timing cover, the 97 and newer doesnt. thus, when i route the belt 97 and up style, the belt is intercepted by the extra tab. soooo im thinking of hacking that little extra tab off so the serpantine belt can go onto the crank pulley correctly. any thoughts?
