Important

Shoulda bought a dura... wait, nevermind.

I am a fan of the 7.3 PSD minus the perpetually leaking fuel filter housing, the injector wiring ran through the valve cover gaskets (why?!), the $$$ injectors and the poor handling characteristics. :D

Take it with a grain of salt though, the Chevy 6.5 is known for randomly snapping the crank and burning holes in pistons if an injector sticks, plus the fuel system driver burning up from being mounted in the valley of the engine (wonder why it gets overheated?). They all have their quirks, even the all powerful Cummins.

And a 6.5 Chevy is the biggest turd ever called a diesel...

Time for me to go buy a lottery ticket. One of the freeway banner signs (last one I pass on the way to work) noted an accident on my commute, I could already see the backup starting, so I dodged off at the ramp right there. Saw the blockage, and that traffic was moving well after it, so I got back on..... and discovered that I managed to avoid 2 more accidents on the side streets in the last 3 miles to work. All told, managed to avoid 3 separate accident sites in 5 miles.

Yeah, some of our engineers aren't real bright! WTF were they thinking with that dowel pin!

the same thing the Jeep guys were thinking when they put E12 inverse torx at the top of the bellhousing where you can't see em:

:scottm::scottm::eeks1::woohoo::roflmao: check this one out guys! just imagine what people are gonna be thinking when they try and get these stupid things off without realizing what they are! :roflmao::moon:

That was just a sick joke, had to be!

The olds diesel block makes a sweet gasser block since its beefed up. Of course there was the 260 Olds diesel as well, and a v-6.

If I could find a diesel block for my Hurst that'd be cool, instead I have a gasser 350 that needs building.

Cert. diesel mechnic is coming at lunch to look at the truck. I charged the batteries back to 100% and still not turning over. He said it could be a couple thinsg, so he is gonna swing by at lunch. I am having them install new glow plus and just do a once over on the whole damn thing.

Does it still just click? If so try hitting it with a hammer. Also ck starter to solenoid cable. Might be burnt apart under insulation. Just had it happen to me. took me forever to figure out.

to quote someone's signature on here, if you can't fix it with a big hammer it's an electrical problem.

Its pretty much a done deal. I need to get to NY to pick it up. My sister & husband own it. He's put a ton of $ into this thing. Dirt cheap.

Uh oh, riding in style this year?

smacked the piss out of it and it still is just clicking. It is only 2-3 bolts so I am gonna pull the starter to see if that is it and have it checked.
