What's the story on the Willy's wagon?

Its my dad's '55 Willys Pickup truck. He's had it since he and it were 18. Someday he wants to restore it. I want to put it on a modern day truck frame, he doesn't. Someday when he has money we will work on it...

I'm storing it for him in exchange for the electrical work he did for me when I first bought the house. I'd really like to not have it in there and that could be my fab corner...

Awesome. I'd love to build a Wagon some day for the family. I loved my Grand Wagoneer, probably should have kept it.

my buddy Jeremy that has been to WF the past 2 years w/ me has a 53 (I think) Willys Wagon that he and his dad started a project on like 20 years ago and it is still sitting...it is put on a bronco frame and was a roller and that is as far as it got. I have tried many times to buy it and he wont sell it. I even tried on a drunken stupper to give him 3K for it in cash and he would not take it..thank God, or Camille would have divorced me..and still got the 3K!!

I saw an old Willy's that had been crushed at the auto salvage yard a year or so ago. It was sad, I asked the guy at the counter when they crushed it and he said the morning before I got there :bawl:

I love the look of the old willy's trucks. Maybe if I ever need a third Jeep. Then I could own a '99, '79, and '59.

Sure am glad I have a heated garage. Wind chill this morning is below zero!! Time to get the front axle out from under the heap this morning. New BFG AT's going on the dd grand today.:thumbup: Along with a new starter.
