Important

I'm just not a Glock guy I guess. They just don't feel right in my hands. The grip has too much of an angle on it for my liking.

I originally thought I wanted a compact or sub-compact but, after a lot of touchy-feely with several different models, I don't think I'd be happy with one as a primary gun.

On a similar note; Lets hope us Illinois Residents have a glimmer of hope on the CCW issue sometime late this evening.

Lots o' luck on that one. King Dick is still in Chicago.

Well the glow plug relay helped the truck start, but after the starter died I was sure that was the big problem. Got the new battery cable and starter put in tonight, and WOW... a quarter of a second of nice gear reduction spinning noises and it fires right up.

You guys rock. Thanks Jeff for suggesting the starter!

Yea, posting two posts in a row because I want to be more like Aaron.

And I've recently learned that Indiana limits you to 10 rounds in a carry weapon, so magazine capacity becomes moot.

I know Kevin said that, but I did some searching and can't find anything to support it. I didn't look real deep, but I think I would have found someone at least talking about the limit, and I didn't. I did find that South Bend had a regulation against buying more than 15 round magazines, but that was pre-empted by the state way back when (94?)

I keep a Ruger LCP tucked in my back pocket whenever I have pants on (visualize that).

I would love to see that in person next time we're in the same place. The gun, that is. I've been eying them since they are relatively cheap but it will be probably 6 months before I do anything.

wow shots fired this time!

yea, luckily only by the police that article says they "exchanged" gunfire but i know what i heard was only one gun, they hit one robber a female, caught one male and one other male got away in the get away car

within 10 feet of the backdoor to our parts dept there were 2 backpacks full of cash and a tec9

Ok. If you do get one, the pocket clip for a KelTec P3AT fits perfectly and keeps it stowed nicely.

Our bank officers keep telling us that the worse the economy, the more desperate people are becoming. Glad they caught some of the robbers.

Sounds to me like there is an officer or two that needs to requalify with their weapon.

Nah, they were using Glocks most likely. You're better off throwing them......:D

I carry a S&W Sigma point four-oh. (.40 Caliber) I bought it becaus it was comfortable in my hands and wallet. $320 out the door. Its been very reliable, easy to shoot, easy to clean and fun. I'm a bit bigger of a guy and even though its a mid-full frame pistol, I conceal it well. I don't really go through a lot of ammo so price doesn't matter to me. Though I do need the practice. I would go to a gun shop over a huge retail store like Cabela's for the personal assistance and advice you will get from a smaller store. A lot of stores will have a range and weapons you can rent to get a feel of which brand, style, frame and caliber size best fits you.
And I've recently learned that Indiana limits you to 10 rounds in a carry weapon, so magazine capacity becomes moot. Unless you're looking at a .45 that only holds 8 or something like that. And I would aim *pun intended* at a semi-automatic over a revolver. Mainly because there's less to do if the revolver is single action. Whatever you like man, different strokes fo sho.
In calling BS on the round limit. I always have 2 clips when traveling but coincidentally I have 10 rounds in each one. :dunno:

Are you gearing up for the Zombie Appoclipse or what? :D

Nice find Brendan.

Having just learned of this round limit, I've always carried with a full mag and one in the tube. My weapon is a 14+1. I don't have a spare mag hostler, but when I use my shoulder holster, it has slots for two mags. So, when I carry with the shoulder holster, I'm equipped with 43 rounds of JHP. Otherwise, I've got just 15. I pray I never need to use my gun and, until I get a mag holster, hope I don't need more than that.

I have ceased debating whether or not it's legal, I was just offering up what I have heard compared to what others were saying, etc, etc,...As far as the drums for the XD go, there's a bunch of stuff made and sold that isn't legal. Aside from that, its no where near practical to carry.

Anybody have any bright ideas on how to dry out the inside of a headlamp assembly? Not an XJ. Its a composite housing.
