A friend who worked at a bar / resturant named The Standard was murdered Wednesday.
My wife and I, as well as most of my friends, are in this place at least once a week. John was everything you wanted in a barkeep, conversation and a proper selection of single malts...

Four thugs threw a brick thru the door, all armed, took John and a female bartender to the office and forced them facedown, and shot him twice in the head and once in each leg, they didn't shoot the female. The guys got about $300.

SO HELP ME GOD I WISH I WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!, without Rebecca. There would be four fewer thugs walking the streets today!!!

John has a 2 year old daughter.

Really sad.

If your serious about doing something, loose the Kamikaze attitude and use the tools available to you. Observation, communication and time. Confrontation will get you dead. Most restaurants (all) are part of an association.
