nah, there prolly wont be too big of a promotion party, points are still pretty high, so i have a ways to go, and you know about the takes 90 days for all points to be added, plus they wont use my ASI as extra military schooling points, because its MOS based.....the b****ards!

John, you have no clue how nervous i was, when i went in for soldier of the month board i couldnt even pronounce my name when i walked in and spoke to the president of the board. i made damn sure i could when i walked in for promotion board and had to present myself to the units BRAND NEW sgt major....i even got most of the soldiers creed, which i learned like 5 minutes before walking into the board. the funny thing was is that i couldnt remember the battalion motto when i saluted sgt major at the end so i could be released.....i was like "duhhhhhh......." luckily one of the other 1sg's gave me a hint so i sounded off with "comanche pride" which is the battalion motto. the instant i walked out of the board i heard EVERYONE start cracking up, including my sponsor and the recorder, so i knew i did ok then. i

Um... guys... when one service pokes fun @ another it's called "Ribbing". Don't take it so personal. I'm Navy and poke fun @ all the others, but when it comes down to it the respect for serving ones country, regardless of Branch of Service, is there. I think that people outside the military are about the only ones that actually take offense. Military members know what eachother sacrifice. Thats my opinion on the subject anyway, doesn't mean it's how all service people think.

I work for the Dept of the Army as a civ. most of use there are vets we regularly rib one another on the what branch we seved due to loyolty's but resepect each other for their service. It's all for fun.
