If you have 4Wheel Drive or like 4x4s... look here

I have a set of factory tow hooks and mounts somewhere, I will give them to anyone who pays for one year membership of NAXJA if you are already a member pay for one more year and they are yours free!

There you go jfox21. That is what it would have cost you at the junk yard anyways, and now you can have your name in red, and tow hooks+I don't have to waller in the mud to get them for you.

how are they attached? install time? thank you so much. just tell me how much they are!

Takes 1-2 hours if you take your time, PB blast before you start and it should go smooth. I think there are 7 or so mounting points on each bracket. Do a search to find out more. It would cost about the same for a membership as it would for the parts and shipping so join up.

Back to the actual run...

I got bad news guys. Hollister is closed the weekend of the 18th. The weekend after is closed to us as well. BUT! They are open the weekend before.

If we move it to the 11th and 12th we will have rain on saturday but an open park. I called before and they said they were open, but just checked now... and well its closed.

I am still good to go this weekend, I think. But, its going to be up in the air until friday morning basically.

If we make it later, we are getting real close to Frank Raines Park on the 8th.

How many are out for sure now? Who still can make it?

if its the 12'th Im there...

the 11th i wont be in town yet...

does moving the event somewhere else make sense? I still havent run bald yet :D

well that just sucks monkey ass. I'm out, got other plans...damn, I was looking forward to meeting ya'll and actually using my jeep for the first time.

Yeah... its a bummer. I am 90% sure I am out for this weekend myself. I will probably be spending this weekend doing more work on the XJ to get it more easily sold.

I think we can plan another run for the 18th or even the weekend after if we go someplace other than Hollister/Frank Raines. I am down to take a group to the snow, but its short notice, and I would rather go snowboarding lol.

Maybe we should just start hyping up the april 8th frank raines trip that Bryan C. is putting on again? Then plan a hollister trip in late april/early may before the Sierras open up Memorial Weekend.

I hear that Greenhorn just outside of Grass Valley is pretty good right now. Water level is too high for stockers though. You can run that all the way out to Scotts Flat Res. I'm headin up there tommorrow afternoon.

Greenhorn aint bad... but there aren't a lot of rocks and there arent a lot of good trails. There is just quite a few small obstacles scattered about and a few decent but very short (hundreds of yards) trails. If you run from the riverbed to Scotts Flat (or out to Hwy 20) its just a logging road (aka Chalk Bluff). However, it is good in the snow and we are slated to get some more of that in the next few days.

On a side note, depending on where you are planning to go, you dont need to cross the river if you go in from You bet Rd.

And as I write this, i just realized that you already went... how was it?

We had great time. You are quite right though, not a lot of rocks, just some short little runs. Couple of deep water crossings. one REALLY tough climb to the top of the mountain. It was good for an afternoon. Went out through Red Dog road and crossed the river and went back to a rocky spot that I posted a few pics of.
