With the vent tube mod you can certainly overfill your tank such that when the fuel expands on a hot day it will leak at the gas cap.

Thanks. I was worried about that. I ended up not turning the vent tube as high as the original post. Might put me in the 25-26 gallon range but that's a huge increase over the stock 20 gallons.
