i bought a 350 dirt cheap and was wandering if any one can help me figure out model and year it originally came out of casting # 10243880 Block # 880 and GM 5.7LG SGI is stamped on it thanks in advance

Quick answer, its a 95-00 Goodwrench crate motor.

10243880...350...95-00...2 or 4...Vortec truck, Gen.I crate motors and "ZZ4", roller cam, one piece rear seal

Got that straight from www.mortec.com. Great place for any Chevy casting number, except intake manifolds.
