So, since I had to miss the fun down South, I decided to do a bit of work on the '86.
This is where it started on Saturday.
Jennifer, eflores and his wife came over to help. Toire bailed on us and went to spend the night at a friend's (something about not wanting to be around old drunk people). Well, Saturday was wasted with shopping and grilling...and a bit too many Long Island Ice Teas for me . So, Sunday we got up bright and early to begin. First on the list were a couple of RE 4.5" coils to replace my ZJ ones.
Jennifer and eflores have a short attention span and decided that while I was changing the coils was a good time to tune-up Jennifer's Civic.
When they were finished with the ricer they decided that they were cold and needed a fire. No many how many times I asked then not to build a fire in my front yard, they wouldn't listen.
freaking pyros! :flame:
So, at about noonish I was finished fighting with the coils (yep, it really did take me 4 hours to change a set of coils.....UGH!!! :dunce
Next on the list were a set of shackles from a Ranger.
Of course, everyone else had gone home by this time and left me to work by myself. :tears: After it was all said and done this is what I have (the wheels on there are so I could see what it will look like with the 33's....I'll be changing back to the 5 point Eagles before the xJ leaves the driveway again).
The driver's side sits about 1" higher than the passenger (24" from the center of the wheel to the flare vs. 23" on the other side in front, and 23" and 22.25" in the rear....I wonder if it has anything to do with the 3.4L block that is sitting in the rear passenger side....hhhhmmmmmm).
Next up for the old girl will be brake lines.
