i searched...gasket for tranny aw4

i know that there is a cork gasket out there and i am not having good luck with this type can i use the rtv sealent or will the dexron II/III eat it up and leak?

You can use the RTV sealant.

are you using a torque wrench to tighten the bolts? from experience the biggest reason for those gaskets leaking is because the surface isn't cleaned properly and from over/under tightening the bolts.

yea i am torquing it to spec and using emery cloth to clean the surface so it is good i just wanted to make sure that the rtv will not leak with the trans fluid
