Torque Specification for XJ 4.0 to AW4 Bolts

I am bolting the AW4 auto tranny to my new 4.0 6 cyl engine in my 1992 XJ. There are 4 bolts that accomplish this task. Two of these are 5/8" drive and thread into the bottom of the engine block at about the middle of the transmission bell housing. The other two are E-12 Torx and thread into the top of the engine block just right and left of the cylinders and at the top of the transmission bell housing. I've searched my FSM and my Chilton's and haven't found the torque spec for these bolts. Please tell me how much torque is specified for each type of bolt. Thanks!

my FSM shows 43 ft/lbs

Thanks!

In what section does your FSM show these values?
An internet hunt turns up 55 ft-lb for the lowers. Someone suggested Chilton's which has a table of torque for common bolt sizes. The upper Torx are 3/8-16 for which Chilton's gives a range up to 32 ft-lbs. 55 isn't scary a bit for the lowers. But the E12 Torx are scary simply because of their problematic location. So it is important to get the upper torque correct. I ended up using 55 for the lowers and guessing the uppers at 35 ft-lb which seemed about right when using my calibrated wrist.

It was in the transmission section.

No Torx -> regular. I've grown accustom to the torx and I actually like the good engagement that torx gives over a regular hex-head bolt. I guess there was wisdom in Jeep's choice here. Anyway I know the easy way to gain access to unbolt them. I've had them off a few times and each time I put them back with anti-seize on the threads. So I'm happy with torx.
