Get a second or third opnion. To my knowledge the top Leukemia treatment facilities in the country are Emory in Atlanta, GA aplace in Texas and one in Seattle. From what I know that type of BMT is the one with the most success. I am up to be a marrow doner in the spring for someone with aplastic anemia. I have been on both sides of this and hope that I am able to help this man live a better life in the future. Good luck with it and and pm me any time and I'll send you my numbers. That is a good place to start, but from what I hear and read there are hospitols or treatment facilities for your specific cancer that may be better suited for you. MD in Texas is by far one of the best if that is the one I'm thinking of. There is a different fasilaty in Seattle that has been doing the BMT thing the longest IMSC. Carolinie has been gone over a year and a half so all that research that was done then is starting to get cobwebs on the brain. Call me if you want I am by far not an expert but have seen it first hand. I am great at suport, Did it for 9 months.ZachMan said:

Thanks man I'll call you tommorow if thats okay. Yeah I was told MD Anderson has the #1 reasearch people for my specific lymphoma so I'll probably go there...if the UAB transplant team suggest doing the MBT.

Zach, my prayers are with you. EasyXJer and myself lost our father to cancer June 19th of last year. He had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, went through the BCG treatment and was supposedly in remission. That was in 2004. We found out that it had returned with a vengeance in early 2006 and the rest is history.

I had colon cancer in 1998 that had spread into the lymph nodes as well. I had surgery, chemo, and radiation. In 1999 I had lung cancer and was treated only with surgery. As of now I am cancer free. I refused to let it get me down, and continued my life as normal as possible. Good luck to you.
