I need help passing smog.

right on, good luck!

I just got done changing the 02 and the oil. I am going to take it in on monday and see if it will pass this time. I will let you guys know.

Good luck!

Wait a sec...

If you just reset the computer, do NOT run in an get it smogged.

The first time I got mine smogged, I had a check engine light, so it failed. The code was for the tranny, so we cleared it using the above^ method, hoping to pass. I failed AGAIN, no codes, but the computer wasn't done with it's diagnostic checks. It runs through and checks the vapor system, and all the evap equipment. This is when it's learning the adaptive memory.

If it's not done with these, you will fail. I had to go drive about 40 miles, and it was done. Took it in, passed no prob.

X2, You will want to drive it around or allow at least 15 warm start ups

Word. I couldn't believe that I failed twice, otherwise my emission levels are CRAZY low. (3 cats!)

Hows that back pressure? lol why 3?!

i thought it was 2 pre cats coming off the manifold and one regular cat down the road?

Yeah, 2 precats and 1 normal.
Back pressure is fine. It runs awesome and my smog numbers are literally a fraction of those in this thread.
I have no issues with ca emissions!

so did you pass?

First off, renix is obd exempt, and does not store Dtc's, or PID's.
If the cat was the one I sold you with the muffler then it was good when you bought it. New actually. You have more issues then a cat, if you dont fix them, then your new one will fail as well.
I need more numbers, wheres O2% and CO2%. Its a 5-gas anylizer. Not a 3-gas. Give me the rest of the numbers and I can help you Josh.
