I am planning on installing my cb in the xj and need ideas on where to mount it.I think I will just mount the antenna to the bumper for now.Any pics would really help thanks guys

A lot of people have built a mount in between the sunvisors, on the passenger side of the center consol and in the bottom A/C vent. If you search well you will find some quality pics of each of the installs.

You can mount the antenna to the bumper or use a slightly bent piece of metal and mount it around the rear brake lamp (also pics somewhere)

I just actually finished my cb install. It took me a while to figure out where to install the mount and the cb...and think I found the best place for many reasons. Antenna on the hood for a good ground plane and easy to run coax. Radio under the dash right above the gas pedal. Does not get in the way at all...doesn't look out of place, still can hear the speaker well, visible while driving, and easy to run coax. Pic was taken before I hard wired it. Between the visors was what I wanted to do, but running coax down the A pillars is a pain. Plus you should run coax down the opposite side of the vehicle as the power wires to avoid interference. My swr was 1.1 on channel 1 and 1.5 on channel 40...much better than I expected. Bought everything (except my radio) from blamoshop.com for about 40% cheaper than all the other "main" cb sites out there. Good guys...check em out.

I got it all done except hooking up power. On my pick-up I just used an add-a-fuse and plugged it into the fuse panel.I couldn't find a power source like that on the xj.Do you have any ideas? Also what #fuse should I use?
