I hate all you Californians since y'all can get Stone Brewing products and we can't... Imperial Stout is 'to die for' IMNSHO.

Sierra Nevada Porter is yummy too. We get SN products, but mostly all can find is Pale Ale, not bad, but kinda breakfast beerish compared to their blue-label Porter.

OK, back to you regularly scheduled Captain Ron hating... that world-famous homeless marine mammal.

man Corona is the worst beer period. But it's not the ONLY mexican beer out there. unfortunatly in the USA you can only get your hands on a few mexican beers. Not all mexican beers suck! if you think they do then you haven't any of the good mexican beers.

I'm a fan of a Guinness Stout, Heineken, Red Stripe is about my all time favorite, most any ale or lager. Except Bud. I'll drink it, but won't buy it. Oh yeah, Asahi, Orion and Sapporo are all god Japanese beers. Haven't been able to find any Orion here since getting back from Okinawa.

Japanese Beers, Natural Light, Budlight and Hite (korean beer) is the only thing I can drink and not get severe headaches.... :bawl:

Put it in a icebath it will cool a lot quicker than just in the freezer.

Best way to chill something in a hurry?

Get cold water. Add about two tablespoons of salt per quart of water (I don't know how big of an ice/water bath you want) and add plenty of ice. The salt helps keep the water from trying to freeze, and allows the bath to run a bit colder.

Little trick I learned in chem class 'way back when...

(Ice in rubbing alcohol also works well, but I don't know if you have that stuff around. If you do, sub it for salt at a 50/50 cut.)

Hating? Naw. I don't mind cooking with beer every now and again (Sam Adams makes a decent base for a marinade, but haven't tried any of the microbrews yet...) but I can't stand drinking the stuff. Hell, I can't stand smelling the stuff.

Gimme rum any day. I'm still trying to find that "Spiritus" that Remi told me about (195 proof...)

I hadn't had Sapporo for quite some time until I recently went to a Japanse steakhouse. damn good! For me it was nice to rediscover and quality brew!

All the stone beers have a gargolye on them, I can't remember which one is the grey one.

At least I've slowed down on my drinking - I used to not think anything of chasing 151 with Jack on a fairly regular basis. A few years ago, I went back home - mom and a batch of her girlfriends thought it would be fun to take me out and get me drunk. Oops...

One of them wanted me to do karaoke. I told her "Dee, you can't afford to get me that drunk. You gonna take out a second mortgage on the house?" She kept wanting to - but mom shut her down with "He's not kidding..."

Being a big guy, I've still got fairly high tolerances. But, ethanol is the only painkiller I can get in quantities worth a damn (no-one will write a scrip for Vicodin - six at a time...) so I drink. Last time I had full bloodwork done, my liver and kidney function were hanging out on the max end of efficiency, so it's not that big an issue. Yet.

I hate Captain Ron because he brought some of his Indian Red to the Fall Fling...it was the tastiest homebrew I have ever had next to Rawbrown's Belgium white. I slobber just thinking about it. Ron, you better bring some more in October! So why the hate...I'm tortured drinking other stuff while constantly thinking back to Ron's brew.

CUrrently drinking an Irish Red Sam Adams.

For mexibrews that are WORTH drinking....Negra Modelo and Bohemia. Tecate is my cheap costco purchase when i'm in the poorhouse.
