I got me a Waggie!

Ok My wife has been working on her headliner she only let me take one pic because she doesnt want to get flamed if she does it wrong

She started out wanting to fiberglass the whole back side. Then changed her mind. Good thing she did glue did not stick to the part she fiberglassed. So i gave her a trade secret... Gorilla glue AKA gorilla snaught and it is sticking fine. We are about to install it in the truck finally but it is mothers day so she has other plans.

I finally got time away from my waggie to work on hers. She has a horrible leak in the rear main. Already replaced valve cover gasket and Oil filter adapter O-rings.

So i ripped the front apart. I have her lift also so I am learning on her truck so i Dont mess up MINE :gag:

She is not letting me work on the truck today though

oh yeah the oil pan is a big PIA.

Ok this weekend since my wifes vehicle is still down and out with 500 leaks I figured I would take this time to do a lift on it. Mainly so I will Know what I am doing and wont mess up mine :shhh: Either way it went well. Front was difficult but once i dropped the LCA's and used spring compressors it scooted on in.

The Rough Country lift got me about 3 1/2 inches over my first measurement. Could have been that my old springs and leafs lost a 1/2 inch over the 21 years which ain't bad. But It definitely is looking better.

Rear Install went really smooth. I had to cut the rear leaf mount bolts only cause I didnt feel like removing the Hitch. No problems with the Rear Shocks at all. All bolts came right out. :dunno: I was happy after reading the nightmares people face with them.

Freakin sweet. Makes me wanna get my new g-rage set up and get mine done. Keep me posted on your progress. BTW hows the headliner? Pretty sad your wife doesnt keep the pics and progress updated. LOL Just kiddin Tess. Love ya hun. :kissyou: Anyway when are you gonna do yours? You need to post pics outside so we can see the complete look of the Jeep. Maybe drive on your rock. (front yard)

Looks great Stryker! I'm glad you were able to get those rear shock bolts out, although it wasn't too difficult getting new nuts in. Anyway, I'll be honest, I'm not a huge Waggie guy, but I have to admit, it's lookin pretty sweet (I think the rims give it a completely different look). Look forward to more updates.

did your lift come with new lower control arms?

Finally got the headliner in today, I redid the headliner/sun visors with Ghost Camo. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. "Happy Now Andy" ;)

Was able to do the sunvisors as well since my hubby got me a sewing machine for Mother's Day.

To add to the fun today I also started cleaning the tow hook brackets knocking off some rust and grime.

I got it from Wal Mart it was $3.95per yard and it took 3 yds with a tad bit left over. Its not a hard job just time consuming removing the old foam/glue.

Nice work Mrs. Stryker. I think that would look great in my Jeep

We really did want too... And initially planned on it. But we have company coming in from Louisiana now. So maybe next time.

WE already have our spot reserved at the Cherokee Crawl and we are gonna see about Hillz and Hollarz the 21st. That one will just depend on how tight money is.

Hope yall have fun though :moon: :D

Thanks for the info.
I just did a new headliner in my pro-street Firebird last year. Used OEM type cloth with foam backing. Did not take too long to install. Now I can see out the back window.
Your waggy looking good.

Ok got the brakes done finally.

Had to replace the front calipers due to stuck bleeder also had to replace the brake cylinders in the rear for the same reason. Went ahead and changed all the brake pad and shoes also. She stops great now. Drove it around the block and she drives fine. Still have a power steering leak so I am gonna change out the low and high pressure hose. I think it has to be one of those too cause as it leaks its allows the air in to the system and gives me that nasty wine like I need to bleed them but they WONT bleed out.

Here are a few pics. I also got her Bumper and Tow Hook brackets on now NOT PICTURED

Damn yer making that into one nice looking Jeep, Stryker.

Nice work ...
