My wife is out of town this week, I'm using my vacation hours to take care of the kids. After dropping her at DIA I stopped at Pull-N-Save...Dayum!

I had planned on having her little XJ down for some changes. Now all the projects have an added dimension, and yes, they dovetail together.

I hope this thing runs quiet. I need Ben Franklin's help to get it off the jackstands already.

Man you got ripped off they didn't even give you a diff cover. hahahaha Good luck with that.

Oh, I have that. I just wanted to see if there was a milk-shake waiting inside.

I almost peed myself when I saw it. The weekend special was "any rear axle". They meant shaft, just like the "Any CV shaft" in the line above. I didn't argue the point, I paid for the "Axle Assembly", the brake drums, the springs, and came home. I've always been treated well there, spoiled really. I used to run through on a daily basis, say hi to the owners. I'd be peeing in my own Wheaties if I tried to cheap out this time.

'87 XJ, who wants to take bets?

:D
Yes, but what color? JK!
This one died way too young, only 135K on the odometer. What was left of the transfer case did look a little dry. The thing was split in half, top to bottom. Part of the front output/DS was in the trunk, no chain in sight.
