Hypothermia Run (night snow run)

I want to do a night snow run on Saturday night, 2-18. Presidents' Weekend.

I want to head up to Malakoff Diggins area. Camping/staying in the cabins up there is an option, but I'm not going to commit to that at this time.

This is going to be a night run in snow, so I'm not going to recommend non-enclosed vehicles.

I'll be looking for tow points front and rear. CBs may be nice, but I think I may have fried mine.

I'll post meeting times and locations as it gets closer. Any interest?
 
i wouold go to that but i do not have front tow points so i dont know if its such a good idea because ive been snow wheeling and i think people used the front more than the back. is there some kind of cheepo thing i can do to have front recovery points?
 
I would LOVE to go, but:

1) My junk wont be 100% by then
2) Im outa town

Hopefully we can get another one of these going in early March....

Didn't you want to get another snow run going? For a cheap front recovery point, you can PM me and see what I have for you. ;)

The weather up here has been real warm. You will have to go toward Bowman Lake aways before you hit the deep stuff. You wont make it all the way to Meadow Lake (I dont think) maybe to Toll House tho. I cant go, I gotta find a new exhust manifold for my craked one. I am close so if anything happens on the trail I'd be happy to help (530-559-3082) BTW, the Nor Cal Hummer club will be on the same road up there, look out for them (the pretentiuos bastards!)

i dont think i will be able to go on this run because there isnt anyone going. so i think im going to go to pismo instead with a bunch of friends. also i kinda dont want to be wheelin with a bunch of hummers.

what do you mean wtf? there are like 3 people going and i dont think its worth it to drive 2 and a half hours but then again its not official that im not going because im not possitive that my friends are going to pismo thats just what his dad told me.


off topic- I went to carnegie yesterday and was crawlin on the rocks and stuff and then coolant just started dumping out of its container. I over heated really bad because my cars temp. Was the last thing on my mind. how much damage could this have casued? Is this something i should check into or just not let it happen again(i probably wont because when things like this happen from me not paying attention and something bad happen i usually pay attention to that from now on ex: leaving my ligts on)

3 people going is more fun... tigher knit group, easier to communicate, make decisions, and you get to meet people better that way...

2.5 hours? id love to only drive 2.5 hours for wheeling.

How long of a drive do you think it is to Pismo - i garantee its longer than 2.5 hours... takes 5 from Benicia caravaning with girls and a motor home (read 65mph tops)

ok i guess i never thought of it that way when less people go. i will most likely be going its just that i need to know where and when we are going to meet and all that stuff. sorry for the confusion earleir. i will be going on this tripi just need to know when to meet and where. thanks
oh and about the overheating what bad things can come form this? could this have been cause from fuel injector cleaner i put in a full tank of gas?
