As long as the large pine tree by my front door stays off the house and my roof stays on I will be quite pleased.

I have enough whiskey and beer to remain drunk the entire weekend, enough dry food to survive for like a week, and I'm not too afraid of the water or gas going out here. Wish I had finished building my generator already, I'm still in parts gathering phase.

If anyone needs help my cell is 774 922 2854, I will answer as long as I have battery power and the cell network is up. Don't bother calling if you aren't in mass, southern NH, southern VT, northern CT or most of RI, basically 2 hour drive max, I won't have fuel to get there.

The 5 ton is ready to rock and roll aside from a minor head gasket leak, whatever, I've driven it with worse, if I need it I will drive it. I'm almost hoping some trees come down on the road so I get to drag stuff around.

This is how we do disasters in Southbridge:

Spent the day at working getting ready to clean up after the storm. Changed the blades on the chipper, sharpened all the saws, fueled everything up. Loaned one of our chippers to a local township. Now I'm gonna fire up the generator and chain it to something heavy on the back porch so it doesn't "get blow away by a crack head/speed freak kinda person." Last big tropical storm, I lost power before it even started to rain or get windy and didn't have it for 4 days. Worst part is having a well and no toilet flushing:((since I have a girlfriend. I'd crap in my neighbors yard(not really, not in the daytime anyway.....what...... their dog craps in my yard sometimes, why can't I crap in theirs?)

nice

spent this morning filling 150 gallons worth of diesel and gas into cans, gassed up all our loaders and chippers and then went out and had to buy WARM PBR since apparently all the cold 30 packs were gone, gonna fill the tub just in case but have 10 gallons in the kitchen, plus my work (1 mile away) has a ginormous generator so I can always get water and hot showers there

bet it goes out east into the ocean, hope it takes out all of LI

I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Right now I'm in a voluntary evacuation area. Most of the towns near me are only making the beachfront properties mandatory evacuation.
