Hummer replacement.

This vehicle is what we need for the fighting we are dealing with now and for not looking into the future I have to disagree. We need to remember that the people we are fighting are going to be around for a long long time and the terrain we are facing them in ranges from towns in Iraq to the mountians in Afgan. The military is simply trying to find a vic that is bigger and more powerful then the Humvee but smaller and lighter then the almost indestructable MRAP while also being a very capable off-road and onroad vic. I dont know the specs on these new vics but from the looks of them it is exactly what we need to do work in Iraq and the even more important Afgan. I spend most of my time here in Humvees and Mraps. both have goods and bads about them. the humvee is indeed underpowered because of the armor. It can climb steep slopes but most of the time it can only be done in low. the mrap is a good tool for on road but when it comes to off-road you become more worried about trying to stay in your seat rather then focusing on your mission at hand. the mrap saves many more lives though compared to the humvee. plus it is extremely heavy and it sinks trust me haha. these guys have the right idea and Im excited to see what they finally choose. on a side note these newer trucks can be used in any type of warfare so I think the future is in the mind of......suprised im saying this...the army....even though these trucks are mostly designed and built by civilian contrctors.

It's great to hear from folks on the ground, we love hearing from you.
This location has several of the armed forces here on site and in other location working directly with us so at least your represented, not to mention most of us are x armed forces as well, Did my time in Korea, Nicuraga, Hondorus. We never forget who we're really working for.

Personally I like that the civilians have took over much of our vics. From what I have seen the quality is better and they actually pay attention to what "we" the ground guys think should be on or in these things and not so much what the highers say. I just see a more balanced and practical design. it makes sense and that is hard to find around here!! Keep up the good work.I have a few questions real quick. Do these prospects have air like the 7ton and mraps? if not they need it. Any idea on the true fording depth with hard bottom water? The one thing I love about the MRap is the Vshape hull. How is this design compared to the Mrap with protection against blasts? any idea on the actual weight with a combat load? if you are not sure or cant share that stuff I understand just thought I would pry a little.
