Huge hole in my T-Case

The thing still drives. But I think its pretty close to locking up for good.

You must have a really loud stereo because that kind of failure gives plenty of warning.

I dont know how I couldnt have heard it.. all I know is there was rattling and after a few months it jus got louder and louder.

I thought the spline count was the INPUT. Why would using a SYE fix that. Just curious cause my 95 case is making some awful noise (think it's the case), and need to know what I'd need to get to replace it if neccessary. I have an Advanced Adapters SYE installed. I'm hoping it's just a bearing or something, but who knows.

It won't. You're correct, the 23 spline count refers to the input side where it mates up to the transmission.

I changed my wheel bearing assemblies, and d30 u-joints trying to get rid of the "rattle"

It wasn't until the chain started slipping on the gear that I was able to find out what it was. I had noticed a noise for a year before I found the problem.

I was lucky. I replaced the chain, no worn through hole.

Well i replaced my chain 6 months ago when we did the SYE. so I'm pretty sure MY noise/vibration isn't a loose chain. What spline count do i need for a 95?

23 spline.

Look at the left column under the "Knowledge" section - you'll find everything you'd ever need to know.

Talked to my buddy.. and he upped the price on me.

He said there are different inputs on the transfer cases and he is not sure what I need... I have an SYE in it and need that taken out and have it installed in the new transfer case.. Does anyone know what input it is?
