Huge hole in my T-Case

Very angry... brought it in the get service and to get a rattling checked out and they showed me the hole... the thing is huge! It takes up basically a side of the whole t-case. And there is another hole forming on the bottom. No fluids in it cus they all leaked out.


The guys said they can get a used t-case and install it..... for $1200.

I dont think I am going to take that offer. Got an offer from in4aride's buddy who works on cars for $50.. but I want it to be done right. Waiting on 2 more prices. For now, I drive a Nissan Xterra.

The bigger problem with the one jawa posted is that one is a 21 spline. You need a 23 spline. Anything from a '91 and newer will work if you plan on swapping in/over an SYE. If you still are using the stock slip yoke then you'll need '95 and newer.

You are replacing the whole T-Case right?

There was/is something going on, the last time I saw a T-Case explode like that is when a chain broke at heavy acceleration drag racing a Dodge truck with a Hemi and disintegrated the case. I mean couldn't even find all the pieces of it afterwords disintegrate.......

BTW the TJ almost won, until it exploded........

if anything falls thro let me know...my friend is jsut a stupid math class away from his ASE certification.....hes not too bad...motor/tranny/t-case/axle swap into a yota by himself in a day.....just needs to fix his timing now....
