i wish i could make it, BJ baldwin is going to be there pulling out all the stops and he's got a huge feud going with the bro crowd about who can put up the biggest air. if you go take lots of videos!!
Looks like he lost to that "bro crowd" as well. A yota out-aired him. BJ's a tool, he just talks smack, and waited til 3:30 to start jumping anyway. So glad I didn't waste my time going up there. The first year would have been a fantastic year to attend, it's become too commercialized now though.

Ummm he fried his computer the day before? Wouldnt call that "waiting". Gen consensus(i work at the main gas/air station off the beach) is that the event sucked, and well i was right there and it did. Unfortunetly it seemed very unorchestrated. There was some awesome jumps yes but they waaay moved back the crowd line (understandable with heavy objects flying thru the air) and the "main show" f'ed his rig up the day before. I personaly had i blast seeing all the rigs and blasting around the dunes(had a very proud jeep moment involving 4 huge trucks, 3 stock bigger than mine and a sand rail stuck ina bad place i entered and a lil time later exited) in my heep. BUT, not an event worth a long drive for... This year!
This picture DOES NOT do the turn out justice. This photo is early as all hell or way later in the day(i parked at 7:40am-ish and left at 1:30ish) cuz i parked on the left of the large brush area and. The. Place. Was. Packed!!! Hell they shut down vehicular access to the beach! I walked around the whole fenced off space and it was a zoo
