I carried a knife throughout most of high school, of course I faced expulsion if they ever found it. I also got searched occasionally, I got pretty good at smelling out a search before it came so I could stash the knife.

I carried a swiss army knife from age 11 up till I was 22. I've been carrying a Leatherman since then. I usually also have at least two folding utility knives on me. The utility knives come in handy more often than you would think, I like carrying them because I can use them for stuff that damages the blade and avoid beating up my leatherman for no reason.
