Any one got an idea on how to push the rear tire back some?
keeping it leafed.
Going coils would be the answer but thats too much fabbing and money..

any id-ers?

I believe there was someone that used S-10 Leaf pack to move the wheels back.

flip your leaf springs. the centering pins are 'centered' on the leaf.

You can flip the leaves around and it'll push the rear axle back 2-3" from what people have said. Only problem they report is that some axles the pumpkin has clearance problems with the gas tank in factory position.

Avon is going to 7.5 Lift ... i m just worried the tires may hit the front of the wheel well at full flex..
Then again.. i may cut and weld more the wheel well.. im not really carring anyone in the back of the jeep so the rear seat is optional. lol

Thanks for the input..
Its a thought in progress..

...you can only trim as far as the rear doors though.
I stuff my 35s with 5" all day, and don't rub at all, with no bumps...

this was the best I had of stuffing the rear... if I had 38s, I could bump it and run them; but I don't think the d30 would be happy :dunno:

ok maybe i m just worried for nutthing then..

Thanks Dan

IF you flip your current pack it will move the rear axle back about 5" or so and require a cut to the rear quarter. If you use a F150 pack it will push the axle back about 2.5" and I believe an MJ pack will move it back about the same and then all you would need is a comp cut of the rear quarter.

Not sure about the f150 pack but i know for sure that you CAN'T use a MJ leaf pack in an XJ without stretching out the mounting points quite a bit as the MJ leaves are longer than XJ.

Mine stuff so far up in the fender well that the top of the tire hits the top center of the fender well. Mine are also cut all the way up to the spot welds.

Would HD's shackle relocation brackets work?

let me see what the extra 7.5" lift is going to give me in the rear..LOL

Yes that is what I did. I left off the fact that you will have to use them or something like it.

No one has mentioned it, but why not just just move the front forward? You can get an inch or 2 more wheelbase with much trouble that way.

I believe he is worried about his rear tires rubbing on the front of the rear fender well, not trying to get a longer wheel base. But good suggestion.

Oh yeah! that's what I get for posting before finishing the first cup of coffee:laugh3:

Really rubbing isn't a big deal, if it rubs just cut it back till it doesn't, or bumpstop.

7.5" and 35's shouldn't rub anyway, it will just be a tall rig. I'm only on 6" net lift and 35's will be fine, but I cut a lot.
