how thick is rear qp glass?

Window was taped on the xj when i bought it. I wanna replace it with plexiglass that i have at work that is .225 thick. Just wanting to see if it will work.

Why not just find glass at JY?

Plexiglas can break into large sharp knife like pieces. They put safety glass in front and tempered glass everywhere else for a reason.

they sure did, but that wasn't the primary reason. Appearance and durability over time is more of a reason. plastic windows scratch easily and discolor over time.

because were the window mounts is dented and i bent it back but not pefect and dont want the glass to be weak there. and if it discolors over time ill slap another piece in here at work.

Just replaced my '97 XJ's LR quarter glass last week; still have the old one. Mic'd it at .145 inches, or 3.7mm.
