Do they have any 4wd classes??
What kind of hp numbers are you talking about?

They have 0 4wd classes. Most are around 250 hp, unless randy eller is there in his Pro-lite, its about 400hp. but its a CORR truck

as a daily driver that could take a jump or two. i've spend about 5K as total cost. and thats with cutting every corner i could and buying used/free parts.

but now for the rallyjeep im crunching numbers around 10-11K as a total cost. and thats all labor, repairs, and new parts.

I an going to say that unless you work in the industry, there is no way you could build a JeepSpeed for under 30k, no way. The time you really add up everything you need, down to your Lowrance and dump cans and all the small things. My guess is unless you are going to do all of your own fab work, 45K.

People seem to forget the cost of crap like the grand you can spend on F911 hardware.

My own JeepSpeed build is coming in at 15k, This will be race ready, but without a lot of the "extras" that I know I will eventually get. Check out these pics of 1701 from Baja Curt and read what Clive has to say. It can be done, but this is price of the rig and does not factor in the cost of racing which probably adds another 10 - 20k.

Clive aka JeepSpeed:

"1701 Jeepspeed Kit Car was 8th in a 20 car field after stopping every lap to cool down on the big hill climb. This car is street legal with all windows, interior trim , and still has air con. so the evaporator is in front of the radiator. We think an engine oil cooler will fix that. Motor and trans has 150,000+ miles but supension works real good. Tom Barnett did a great job respecting the limits of this $10,000 kit with extra Currie Crate rearend and bypass shocks. An affordable street legal ATK race motor and cure a few teething troubles and this package will be FUN! Watch this website and future Off Road Magazine for details on how you can purchase a complete Jeepspeed race kit to assemble in your garage."

Here are a few of the new T&J rig.
I'll post up all of my pics when I get home.

WTF?!?! Are you kidding me? Did I read that correctly when I read a $10,000 jeepspeed kit? That's CHEEEEEEEAAAAAAP. There's no way...

This is probably not including the cost of the vehicle or the labor. 10k used to be advertised all the time at the JeepSpeed booth. I know the first JeepSpeed I was a co-driver for was probably built in the 10 - 15k range back in 03 and we won the championship.
