going to Hollister saturday 1/18/14
sorry for the last minute notice, but just found out i was going now.
Diane & I will be there in the green heep, not the red p.o.s. as I need to save it for KOH in 2 weeks. :D

Good seeing everyone out at hollister yesterday. Much fun was had. Met a new guy then watched as he decided to do the complete exhaust removal mod on the whiterock trail.
Thought I took pics but I guess I only got one video. So here it is. Tim going a bit nuts.

I had the exhaust wired back up before we headed out the next morning. Hopefully I can salvage some of that downpipe and have it dump before the axle.

I look forward to the next trip. Hopefully ill have less sheet-metal than I do now.

i would not dump the exhaust in front of the axle, too loud inside, you can get fumes coming in, & it kicks up too much dust on the dry trails. you would be better off running it straight out the back.
if you want less sheet metal, just follow me in my red p.o.s. xj :D

i had a buddy that dumped his exhaust pointing right at the gas tank. it actually would send the gas boiling out the vent and fill tubes on long drives! Re routing the exhaust away from the gas tank stopped this. This was only last year.

I have mine dumped a bit befor the axle. Yes it is loud. I don't know about the fumes but I do get tired after a long drive. And yes it's dusty as hell. I got the nickname pig pen on the last Sierrafest. All the pics of me are hazy. I'll be re routing as soon as I do my trans and tcases swap. I have to redo the entire exhaust though anyway for the flat belly above the rails.
