HO head on Non HO

You can indeed do exactly that. It will bolt right on. I am planning the same swap into my '90, mainly to get a dozen or so more ponies and to ditch the Renix system as a whole. The link below talks about swapping everything upwards from the intake, but there is still some usefull tech info there. Not sure if any sensors will need swapping...haven't dug that far yet.

Why ditch the Renix? It compensates for modifications a lot easier than OBD and if you ever plan on stroking, it has a knock sensor.
use an HO head, intake and TB and modify the TPS and you won't have to redo any wiring, except for the throttle cable
also, if you use an HO intake, you're gonna need an updated power steering bracket...AFAIK

If the intake manifold is from 91-95 then it's a simple matter of getting the new ps pump brackets and bolting them on. You can reuse your pump and belt. 96 and up are slightly different. If you have an automatic trans then you will also need the transmission kickdown cable from the HO because the non-HO is too short. Your cruise control will not work anymore either. You will also need the fuel rail from the HO and adapt the feed and return lines to work with the new fuel rail. HO and non-HO are not compatible.

If you want to reuse your original intake/exhaust manifolds, you'll need to port the head to make them fit...which isn't necessarily a bad thing. ;)
