Power your aux. lighting through a separate harness straight from the battery through an appropriate sized relay under the hood. Energize the relay off the high-beam circuit from the dimmer switch

What would be a good way to ensure my headlights maintain constant power thru low-beams when I energize the high-beams??

Power all you lights with relays. Use a separate circuit and relay for each set of lights(realy/circuit for low-beams, relay/circuit for hi-beams relay/circuit for fogs The switch only energizes the relay. As long as you have proper line voltage, the lights will have full voltage.

If you're talking about using hi- and low beam circuits at the same time, probably the simplest way would be to add a switched circuit that bypasses the dimmer switch, similar to the fan thermostat override switch we use to control the aux elec. fan off-road while maintaining thermostat control on-highway.

Edit: I should mention that you may have heat related problems with the bulbs running both hi- and low-beam filaments at the same time for long periods of time.

I meant keeping power to the HID lights. Though I already have no own relays for high/low beam and my driving lights. Guess I should of realized all i needed was a switch that bypasses the dimmer switch. Thanks

FlexdXJ I just got back and installed the kit without any trouble it plugged right in like it was supposed to. I opted for the Slim kit, 35W, 5k bulb. I have to say it's working out really well. I just need to readjust the headlights. But wow are the ballasts small, a deck of cards so it's real easy to place it somewheres. I give the kit 2 thumbs up in ease, price, and it's small size.

Now I just need to figure out a cool way when I select high beams to power my driving lights mounted on my bumper without losing power to low beams which my hids pull power from and also ensure my fog lights still power on and off with high beams to stay legal and sorts.

Glad it worked out for you dude, Its not the best but way better than any halogen out there. I am gonna pick up the kit with the slim ballasts for the civic I am getting. If you have problems with them switching from lo to hi and back. Pull the #3 and 4 fuses. That will fix that! I just wired my driving lights up to have power when the key is on. I don't use the lights unless the road is clear because lightforces are BRIGHT!
