hey dino

Mmmm. I'm not so sure about that. The seller doesn't say which Compcams he used and he doesn't specify whether the piston dishes were enlarged, so I've no idea what the CR might be. He only says that the block has been shaved flush. If that's to the pistons, that would be zero deck clearance which would mean as much as 0.050" has been taken off.
Since the head has had a full valve job, I'd wager that the lifter preload is way higher than it should be so if the rocker arm bridges haven't been shimmed to correct it, early cam lobe/lifter wear is almost guaranteed.
Before bidding on this engine, I suggest you get the complete spec on it and details of all the machine shop work done and parts used. If the seller can't give you that info., forget it.

I wasn't actually going to bid myself.

The reason I thought it resembled the low cr recipe is due to where he claims the power band to be. Though, the numbers seem a little higher than your estimates.

what does the good doctor think?

I'd buy it myself to build another stroker but the only thing that's stopping me is the air freight for 36kg to the UAE. It would cost me an absolute fortune!

Yep, I've calculated that by surface it would double the costs, so I don't even want to think about by air! On top of that there's the Customs to get through at this end, and they're pretty sharp...
