Help me pick out some tires

Well it looks like I'll have to leave it stock for a while. I need new tires anyway so I decided to get some Revos in stock size. Thanks for the help.

thats cool, i think my boss has a set on his 05 silverado 4wd work truck, he's pulled a-frame's out with it when they were stuck in the mud, so they've gotta have some traction in the mud too, did you go with 235/75/15's or the 225/75's? for the difference of .75" in height and almost no change in width the price wouldda been worth it to go the 225 route IMO ( just in case you havent finalized the tire purchase yet)

well like you i will end up leaving mine stock for a while... so i opted for stock height 235's bfg m/t cuz all we got is dirt/mud and sand with very little snow.

I kept it stock 225/75/15. Wouldn't 235's be wider than 225's not taller? Either way I just kept it stock. The 225's were about 100 bucks cheaper in the end than 235's

according to tire rack.... i must of read it wrong the first time =/

225's are 13/32 deep
sect width 8.9
tread width 6.7
overall dia 28.3 and 31 lbs

235's are:
tread depth 15.32
sect width 9.3
tread width 7.2
overall dia 29"
and 37 lbs

idk i guess ur right... but im sitting stock and i churned thru some pretty deep snow... deep enough where i was pushing it around with my differentials =)

How do they do on ice, how many miles do you get out of a set, and how loud are they? :anon:

I know my MTRs suck on ice, and they are to loud for a DD.

The BFG AT is one of the most popular tire out here, and Im am considering it for my next tire after these MTRs wear out. Although, I have been seeing good reviews on the Revos as well. Decision decisions.

i havent hit any ice yet cuz i dont really live in the snow i live about 60 miles from it actually... but my fiance claims my honda civic tires are louder than the mud terrains so idk, they dont hum real loud to me i can turn up the radio to talking leval and you cant hear them really. and ive only gotten maybe a thousand miles out of them so i couldnt give you an accurate tread wear.

ran them on ice yesterday a little... they did alright in 4wd with no problems as long as i didnt romp on the throttle =) and 2wd was fun cuz it drifted like nothing lol

Spudly, I love your avatar. Classic, and very familiar.

I've been running 33" BFG ATs, mostly because that is what was on it when I bought it and they're not ready to be replaced. While they wouldn't have been my first choice, they have performed very well in all conditions including mud in some cases. The sidewall issue is a problem - one of mine has a chip with white cord showing through. I don't know if BFG has fixed that issue with the M/T KM2 tires, but those are what I'm leaning toward for my next set. They seem to be a great design with the mud-shedding traits of an M/T and the siping for wet conditions of the A/T. I don't really like mud, so I don't need something like a swamper. Rocks, dirt, street, wet street, sand, and snow are my needs, in that order.
