Anyone in the citrus heights area free on Wed. That can help me remove and old cps and install a new cps. I limited tool or I would do it myself. We will have to do it at my apartment complex.
Wish I could help, I assume it is not drivable. If it is feel free to contact me and you can swing by my place and you could use my garage and tools while I have a brew.
so where in citrus heights and what exactly do you need?
a bunch of extensions and a wobble bar or two and a universal joint or two would prob do the trick. maybe have a freind hold one of those 1.99$ telescoping magnets right above it to make sure no screws fall in....
is the jeep running ?
also did you test the cps or are you guessing????
is the jeep lifted(prob make the job easier) or stock?
Jeep Runs but idles rough. Once in gear the idle is very rough then the Jeep just shuts off. It starts back up but take a min. I have not tested the cps but after reading about the problem i have it seems to come up with the cps as the problem. So if anyone is willing to help me out. Let me know I need to get this fixed before the next rain. Thanks
do you have a check engine light on . If you do pull the code this will get you much closer faster to the real problem . Not internet gambling its kinda like getting medical diagnosis on the net . If their is no code their is more than likely some pids and freez frames in the ecu that will point to what is wrong . pm me hear I live In citrushight Iam a laid off mechanic and work realy cheap or trade services and cant spell for .
Did you test it? If you have a voltmeter, check the resistance between terminals b & c, it should have no continuity.
Once you are sure that is it, I got mine out fairly easy. I used a 11mm socket, a wobbler, a 12"exention and a ratchet. The key for me was disconnecting the transmission mount and lowering it down like 4 inches, it gives you lots of room to fit the ratchet and your hand, and when I say lots of room, I mean it’s going to be a tight fit still
did you test the cps and the iac also?
i would test the cps, iac, and tps first, as well as check all grounds and connectors. then if the cps tests fine, or everything tested fine but you still think the cps is shot, then do. usually the cps means t
