Ok guys I'm headed to pull-a-part to get a few things. What are some things to be on the look out there to do some mods on the XJ? Brackets, vents, fans, from different vehicles? anything hard to find? Anything expensive? Etc.

Help me out if you can.

4.10 LSD Disc 8.8 from an Explorer. If you see one buy it and bring it to me, please.

Grand Cherokee V8 Tie rod is beefier

Chevy 1500 front brake lines are longer

Dodge Ram rear shackles will give you 2" (you'll need to even out the front - look at coil spring spacers from the Firebird, Camaro, Thunderbird, etc)

Hood vents from Grand Prix GT will help with cooling - oh hold it, I have a set for sale - PM me!!

Transmission cooler from an Explorer

Grand Cherokee alternator is higher voltage (will need to upgrade wiring)

Durango steering box is stouter (will need a spacer)

Skid plates are usually available for dirt cheap (rear, front, t-case) The front and t-case are universal. Rears only fit one body type - 84-96 or 97-01

Any ECU, TCU, throttle body, etc

Renix a/c delete pulley.

Look out for late models, stuff like the infinity tweeters, overhead consoles and whatnot are desirable.

Ford Taurus fan if you want to do a e-fan setup for cheap

I try to keep an open mind and look at different stuff at the junkyard and let imagination wander! I have picked up a wide variety of stuff that someone ends up using, and almost got a set of Discovery fold up seats this way... still kinda regretting that.
